If you live or work in or near Mole Valley and have an active interest in cycling and cycling issues then why not come and join us? We need more voices on the Forum to ensure that priority is given to improving facilities for cyclists in Mole Valley. We normally meet the 2nd Thursday of every other month at 7.30pm (starting with January) usually at the Pippbrook council offices in Dorking. We discuss cycling issues, put forward ideas for improving cycling facilities in the district, and arrange family-oriented cycling events.
The
next main meeting is on
Thursday 10 July at 7.30pm at Pippbrook. See minutes of our last meeting
here.
In the interim we will have a social and bike ride on 12th June, starting at the Royal Oak, Brockham, at 7.30pm.
During the summer months we are organising a series of
Summer Evening Cycle Rides. Come and explore your local countryside on two wheels. These are social cycle rides starting from outside Dorking Sports Centre (adjacent to Dorking Halls).
| Dates: | Thursdays 29th May, 19th June, 17th July, 14th August |
| Start Time: | 7.30pm |
| Distance: | around 12-15 miles (about 1h30m cycling) |
The route may include a stop at a pub at a suitable point for a rest/refreshments – probably towards the end of the ride to ensure we can return well before dark. We will do our best to avoid steep hills!
Why not come and join us. For further details please contact Roger (01306 882529) or John (01306 640264). Watch this space in case additional rides are organised.
Before coming on one of these rides, please ensure your bicycle is in a roadworthy condition.
